Albanian coalition for child education meets civil society organizations in Vlora

Tirana, 8th July- Albanian Coalition for Child Education (ACCE)organized a meeting with CSOs that operate in Vlora. This activity was organized in the framework of expansion of ACCE with CSOs working on local level.

The participating organizations operate in the Qark of Vlora. Protecting children’s human rights, providing assistance in education and vocational trainings for girls victims of violence and trafficking, psychological support and aid toward the vulnerable strata of the population, social education and environment protection constitute the focus of their work.

The meeting organized in collaboration with “Social Education and Environment Protection” aimed to strengthen civil society organizations and encourage them to become important actors in the education reform. The participants shared concerns that education and children face in the areas where they operate. Some of the major concerns regarded: teachers’ lack of information with regard to education law, their rights and the ambiguous process of the nomination of schools’ directors.

Albanian Coalition for Child Education is a network of civil society organizations funded in 2004 that aims to ensure that every child enjoys the universal right to education. We advocate for an education system that respects children’s rights, is responsible and guarantees that all children have access to quality and inclusive education.
