Albanian coalition for child education meets civil society organizations in Shkodër

Tirana, 17th June- Albanian Coalition for Child Education (ACCE)organized a meeting with CSOs that operate in Shkodër. This activity was organized in the framework of expansion of ACCE with CSOs working on local level.

The participating organizations operate in the Qark of Shkodër and Lezha. Protecting children’s human rights, assistance in education and vocational trainings for girls, psychological support for children and families subject to blood feud, and aid toward the vulnerable strata of the population constitute the focus of their work.

The meeting organized in collaboration with “Qendra e Këshillimit dhe Shërbimeve Psikologjike’ aimed to strengthen civil society organizations and encourage them to became important actors in the education reform. The participants shared concerns that education and children face in the areas where they operate. Lack of adequate schools’ infrastructure, blood feud phenomena, obsolete mentality that characterizes the remote areas and poor economic conditions deprive children from the right to education.

Albanian Coalition for Child Education is a network of civil society organizations funded in 2004 that aims to ensure that every child enjoys the universal right to education. We advocate for an education system that respects children’s rights, is responsible and guarantees that all children have access to quality and inclusive education.
