Dear Ministers,
Re: Protecting the prioritization of global education within the G20
...

26 September 2013 -Albanian Coalition for Child Education (ACCE), announces that it is joining through lobbying and advocacy activitiesthe initiatives of 16 regional and global civil society organizations, as well as 30 million teachers in 170 countries over the world .On September 24, they urged that human rights education must be reorganized and constitute the core of the structure of post-2015 development.
The appeal contains essential principles that define education as a fundamental human right. Among which we can mention: every human being should be given the right to education, states are responsible, must respect and guarantee the human rights, the right to education begins at birth and is eternal; a broader initiative ought to be implemented for a qualified education, the state should provide sufficient funding for public education, democratic governance should be a prerogative in education; human rights are integral, inseparable and interdependent.
The sixteen organizations have co-chaired the event "The Right to Education in the Development Agenda of Post-2015", and have introduced this request in the headquarters of the Open Society Foundation in New York. In this event were present representatives of France Government, UNESCO, UNICEF, UN Women and GCE, and ICAE. The speech of the Minister of Education Timor-Leste, his Excellence Bendito Freitas dos Santos and the Special Reporter of the United Nations, Kishore Singh, bore a vital significance.
Albanian Coalition for Child Education ACCE joined this event by organizing various activities that include meetings with the new Minister of Education Mrs. Lindita Nikolla; press release and interviews on television.
Camilla Croso, president of Global Education Campaign, stated:
"Every person is entitled to an education, but today millions of children, adolescents, and young adults have violated this right. Breach is not only due to denial of access, or because of the expensive fees, but because the education offered which does not correspond to the goals and objectives set forth in the instruments of human rights. In this sense, the legislation, the public policy and educational practices should be directed to the full development of human personality, respect of human rights and democracy. States are obliged to provide free and qualified public education systems throughout the country.
