ACE STARTED THE TOUR OF MEETINGS WITH POLTICAL PARTIES TO PRESENT “6% FOR EDUCATION” MANIFESTO

Tirana, 12th June 2017- Albanian Coalition for Education started today the tour of meetings with political parties to present “6% TO EDUCATION” manifesto.

This tour is undertaken in front of the National Elections of 25 June 2017 to advocate with political parties the inclusion of ACE main demand, for the increase of education budget, on their electoral programs.

The Manifesto was delivered officially today to Mrs. Kejdi Mehmetaj, representative of the Socialist Movement for Integration. At this meeting, ACE has presented Manifesto’s main points by asking for their involvement in the party's electoral program with a view to addressing them in the future Government.

Through the Manifesto and Petition '6% for Education’, ACE requires from political parties and their candidates to increase by 6% of GDP the budget to Education in Albania in the next Parliament. Because only in this way we will provide Qualitative and Inclusive Education, Safe Schools, Investment in Education, Scholarships and Supporting Activities and Qualified Teachers in every School.

The Manifesto introductory tour will continue in the next days, with the main parties in the country such as SP, DP, PJIU, RP, UHRP, etc. but also with new parties such as LIBRA or CHALLENGE, to turn in allies of the demands and our cause, to return education in the priority of the upcoming Government.
